On September 23, 2021, Nintendo held another one of its highly anticipated Nintendo Direct presentations. The event lasted approximately 40 minutes and showcased several exciting new games and updates for existing titles. Here is a summary of some of the most significant announcements.

First and foremost, Nintendo revealed that there will be a brand new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate character, and it’s none other than Sora from the Kingdom Hearts series. Fans have been requesting Sora’s addition to Smash for years, and their wishes have finally been granted. Sora will be available for download on October 18th.

Next, Nintendo teased the upcoming Kirby and the Forgotten Land, which is set to release on the Nintendo Switch in spring 2022. This new iteration of Kirby’s adventures takes place in an abandoned amusement park, and Kirby will have to use his copy abilities to survive against new enemies such as undead bats and haunted game machines.

Another surprise was the announcement of the Castlevania Advance Collection, which includes four classic Castlevania titles: Circle of the Moon, Harmony of Dissonance, Aria of Sorrow, and Dracula X. This collection releases on the Nintendo Switch on May 16th.

Additionally, Nintendo announced that a new expansion for the wildly popular Animal Crossing: New Horizons game will be releasing on November 5th. The expansion is titled “Happy Home Paradise” and allows players to decorate vacation homes for their animal friends on an island paradise.

To cap off the presentation, Nintendo announced the highly anticipated sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The trailer showed off an even more expansive world than the first game, with more characters and monsters to encounter. The sequel is set to release sometime in 2022.

In conclusion, the September 23rd Nintendo Direct presentation did not disappoint fans with exciting new game announcements and updates. From Sora’s addition to Super Smash Bros. to the expansion to Animal Crossing: New Horizons and the highly anticipated Zelda sequel, fans have a lot to look forward to in the coming year.
