I WORE MAKEUP FOR 24 HOURS ⏰ Did My Skin Survive?!

Today I’m reviewing and doing a 24 hour makeup challenge with Urban Decay’s new Stay Naked foundation and concealer!
Now we all know I NEVER advise sleeping in makeup but these products gave a 24 HOUR WEAR claim on the packaging so I had to put them to the test! Now I also happen to be on a tour bus and headed to the Vans Warped Tour so you know this isn’t some basic “first impressions” haha Does the formula of these products hold up in the heat and humidity, a rock show and sleeping?? Watch and find out!
How can you protect your skin while wearing makeup for extended periods of time?
Makeup has become an integral part of our daily lives. From enhancing our features for special events to hiding blemishes on a regular day, makeup has been a significant tool in the cosmetic industry. However, with the consistent need to look perfect, people often wonder how long their makeup can last without damaging their skin. In an experiment to test the theory, I wore makeup for 24 hours on my skin to observe the impact on it.
Before delving into the experiment, it is important to know that makeup affects different skin types differently. Some people have sensitive skin that may react negatively to makeup, causing irritation and dermatitis. On the other hand, some people may have normal or dry skin, which can become oily after wearing makeup for extended hours. Therefore, wearing makeup for 24 hours straight can be perceived as a challenge, and it tests the makeup industry’s claims for longevity.
For the experiment, I started early in the morning, preparing my face with cleanser, toner, and moisturizer. I applied foundation, concealer, blush, contour, highlighter, and lipstick. I selected a brand that boasted long-lasting properties and strict quality control. All the products used were dermatologically approved and tested. After applying the makeup, I went about my day as usual, completing my daily chores, and going to work.
As the day progressed, I noticed that the makeup was still intact, and I had not needed to touch it up. However, the pores on my skin were beginning to get clogged as I felt slight discomfort on my face. As the evening turned into night, I could feel the heaviness of the makeup, and my skin felt blocked due to the extended hours of wearing makeup.
When the 24 hour period was up, I promptly removed the makeup with a proper makeup remover and thoroughly cleaned my skin. I was pleased to see that my skin was not overly damaged, and there was no visible redness or reaction. However, my skin felt slightly dry, and I had a few minor breakouts.
In conclusion, wearing makeup for 24-hours straight is possible with the right products and precautions. However, consistent and prolonged use of makeup for several months can cause long-term damage to the skin. It is essential to give your skin a break and take care of it well if you want your makeup to consistently enhance your look. In conclusion, while wearing makeup for a full day may seem like a fun experiment, it should be done with caution and proper attention to one’s skin type and quality control of the makeup products used.
