From a young age, girls are taught that Disney Princesses rank supreme.

So, when they grow up, many of these girls want to be just like a Disney Princess. This leads to hundreds of women auditioning for these roles at Disney theme parks, but many of them may not know what they are in for. These are ten strange requirements to work as a Disney Princess.

Why does Disney Princess actors/actresses need to have natural hair?

Have you ever dreamed of becoming a Disney Princess? Wearing beautiful gowns, having perfect hair and makeup, singing beautiful songs, and meeting your Prince Charming – sounds like a dream job, right? But did you know that there are some strange requirements to work as a Disney Princess? Here are ten of them:

1. Height Requirements: To portray some Disney Princesses, such as Cinderella or Aurora, one must be between 5’4”-5’7”. For Tinkerbell, the requirement is 4’11”-5’2”. This is to ensure that the Princess looks proportionate when standing next to their Prince or other characters.

2. Vocal Skills: If you are auditioning to be a Disney Princess, you will be required to sing. Additionally, you must be able to match the tone and pitch of the Disney character’s voice almost exactly.

3. Education: To be a Disney Princess, you must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent. Some roles may require a college degree in theater or a related field.

4. Natural Hair: If you have dyed, frizzy, or unnatural-looking hair, you’re not getting the job. Disney wants their princesses to look as authentic as possible. So, if you want to be Snow White, you better have black hair!

5. No Tattoos: Tattoos are a big no-no if you want to be a Disney Princess. The only exception is if you can cover them up completely with makeup, which can be tough if you have a large tattoo.

6. Upbeat Personality: As a Disney Princess, you’ll be interacting with guests all day long. You need to be friendly, cheerful, and have a positive attitude, even if you’ve been working for hours on end.

7. Size Restrictions: Depending on the role, there may be specific size requirements. For example, the actress playing Elsa in “Frozen” must be between a size 2 and 8.

8. Physical Stamina: Being a Disney Princess is a physically demanding job. You’ll be on your feet for the majority of the day, waving, singing, and smiling. You need to be in excellent shape to keep up with the demands of the job.

9. Costumes: You must be comfortable wearing a heavy, bulky costume for extended periods. Additionally, some costumes have limitations, such as the inability to sit or go to the bathroom without assistance.

10. Flexibility: You must be willing to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Disney Princesses are often required to work 10-12 hour shifts, multiple days in a row.

Becoming a Disney Princess may be a dream come true for many, but it takes more than just looks and talent to land the job. These ten strange requirements show that becoming a real-life Disney Princess requires sacrifice, hard work, and fulfilling some unusual criteria. So, if you think you have what it takes, good luck, and may all your dreams come true!
