Being a famous celebrity can be closely compared to styles of the fashion world–one day you’re in, and the next day you’re out. However, while the scape of fashion is a revolving door, the doors of fame in Hollywood slam behind there now forgotten stars, never to open again. The blinding flashes from paparazzi have now mutated into a selfie from a fan who couldn’t remember their name or where they knew them from. “Hey, you’re the girl from that show”, they say. Agents stop calling and movie cameos or starring roles become infomercials for some cream to use when your muscles ache or a medication to use when things aren’t going your way in the bedroom. Maybe the calls and the selfies stop all together.
While most come to accept the fact that Hollywood gobbled them up and spit them out, some refuse to have the door shut behind them. They stick their foot in the way just in time to show their face at a random red carpet event. Heck, some even knock down the door like the scene from “The Shining” in order to be in the public eye. They became addicted to the limelight and just can’t accept that it’s not shining on them any longer, even if they only stood in its blinding glare for only a moment.
A handful of these individuals take on the belief that “bad press is still press” and turn to pulling public stunts for attention. Some settle in and buckle up as they ride along the popular coattails of others. There are a number of ways these abandoned celebs try to gain a little attention just one more time, but ignore all the signs that no one wants to give it to them any longer.
The celebrities you will see in this video once had their fifteen minutes of fame, but have yet to realize their time to shine has come to a close. In today’s age of social media, it’s easy to become famous overnight, only to fade away just as quickly. Many individuals cling to their fleeting fame, refusing to acknowledge the reality that their time in the spotlight is over. Here are ten people who need to realize they’re not famous anymore:
1. Tila Tequila – Once a popular reality TV star and social media influencer, Tila Tequila’s career has been marred by controversial statements and actions. Her attempts at a comeback have fallen flat, and it’s time for her to move on.
2. Vanilla Ice – The 90s rapper enjoyed a brief resurgence with his home renovation show, but his days of topping the charts are long gone.
3. Lindsay Lohan – The child star turned troubled actress has struggled to stay relevant in recent years. Her attempts at a music career and reality TV shows have failed to garner much attention.
4. Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag – The infamous reality TV couple were once the talk of the town, but their fame has fizzled out. Their ongoing attempts to stay in the public eye only serve to make them more irrelevant.
5. Joe Jonas – The middle Jonas brother has yet to make a successful solo career, and his attempts at being a breakout star have fallen flat.
6. Aubrey O’Day – The former Danity Kane member has continuously attempted to capitalize on her brief stint on reality TV, but her fame fizzled out years ago.
7. Tommy Lee – The Mötley Crüe drummer hasn’t been in the public eye for anything other than his tumultuous personal life in years, and it’s time for him to realize he’s no longer a household name.
8. Paris Hilton – Once the It Girl of the early 2000s, Paris Hilton’s star has faded significantly. Though she still has a large social media following, her relevance in the mainstream is all but over.
9. Carmen Electra – The former Baywatch star has struggled to make a name for herself outside of her brief stint as a music artist and reality TV contestant.
10. Bow Wow – The former child rapper has yet to make the transition to adult hip hop star, and his attempts at a comeback have been met with lukewarm reception.
In conclusion, these ten individuals need to come to terms with the fact that their days of being famous are over. Continuing to cling onto their past fame only serves to make them look desperate and irrelevant. It’s time for them to move on and find new avenues for success.
