Katy Keene’s Lucy Hale and Ashleigh Murray Reveal Riverdale Crossover Wishlist

Katy Keene’s Lucy Hale (Katy) and Ashleigh Murray (Josie) reveal which Riverdale stars we should see appear on the new CW spin-off.
They make a good case for Veronica (Camila Mendes), but we’re mostly sold on seeing Archie (KJ Apa) with a beard. Katy Keene premieres at midseason on The CW.
Why does Ashleigh Murray want to see a reunion between her character Josie and her former Riverdale co-stars?
Katy Keene’s Lucy Hale and Ashleigh Murray, who plays Josie McCoy, recently revealed their wishlist for a Riverdale crossover. The two actresses shared their excitement about the possibility of their characters appearing in Riverdale during a panel at the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour.
Murray, who previously starred as Josie McCoy in Riverdale before her character moved to New York City to pursue her music career, expressed her desire to see a reunion between her and her former Riverdale co-stars.
“I want to see Josie back in Riverdale. I miss the gang. I want to see them all back together. We were a family,” she said.
Hale, who plays the titular character in Katy Keene, also expressed her excitement about the possibility of a crossover, stating that she would love to see Katy and Veronica Lodge, played by Camila Mendes, team up.
“I think it would be really fun to see Katy and Veronica go shopping together,” she said. “I think that would be a fun dynamic because they both have really strong personalities.”
In addition to her desire to see her character interact with Veronica, Hale also expressed her interest in seeing a musical crossover between Katy Keene and Riverdale.
“I would love to see a musical episode where Katy and Josie are performing together,” she said. “That would be really cool.”
Both actresses also shared their hopes that a crossover would allow for more diverse representation on both shows.
“I’m really excited to see how we can mix and match cultures and see more diversity on both shows,” Murray said.
Hale echoed this sentiment, adding, “I think it’s important to show that people from all different cultures can come together and create something beautiful.”
While nothing has been confirmed yet, the possibility of a Riverdale/Katy Keene crossover has fans of both shows excited to see what could happen. With the enthusiastic support of the show’s cast, it seems like a crossover could be a very real possibility in the future.
