Diane Sawyer is considered as a trailblazer for women in journalism.
The ABC News special correspondent got her start as a member of President Nixon’s White House staff in the early ‘70s and quickly moved into broadcast journalism with CBS News. In 1984, Sawyer made history as the first female correspondent on 60 Minutes. She soon made a name for herself as a hard-hitting journalist, unafraid to ask the really tough questions.
