Dog The Bounty Hunter Gives Grim Update On His Wife

Duane Chapman, better known to audiences all over the world as Dog the Bounty Hunter, is speaking out about his wife’s recent health troubles.
And Beth Chapman prepares to battle throat cancer for the second time in two years…
What is the Beth Chapman Foundation and what is its purpose?
Dog the Bounty Hunter, whose real name is Duane Chapman, has faced many challenges throughout his life as a bounty hunter, but none quite as devastating as his wife’s cancer diagnosis. In September 2019, Beth Chapman was diagnosed with stage II throat cancer, which later progressed to stage IV. Despite undergoing several treatments, she passed away on June 26, 2019, leaving a gaping hole in the hearts of her family and fans worldwide.
After Beth’s death, Dog has been coping with the loss while continuing to work as a bounty hunter. But he recently gave a grim update on his wife during an interview with Francine Lacqua on Bloomberg’s “The David Rubenstein Show.”
When asked about Beth’s passing, Dog said, “It’s the worst thing I’ve ever been through in my life.” He went on to explain that Beth’s cancer had spread to her lungs, leading to a decrease in lung capacity. “They put in a trachea, she was breathing okay, and then suddenly, she wouldn’t wake up,” he said. “They went in and found that she had a blood clot in her lung, which eventually led to her passing.”
Dog also talked about how he has been coping with Beth’s loss. “Every morning she would wake up and greet me with a ‘Good morning, handsome.’ I’ll never hear that again,” he said. “I still wake up thinking she’s there, and then I realize she’s not.”
Despite the challenges and heartache, Dog remains committed to carrying on Beth’s legacy. He recently launched The Beth Chapman Foundation, which aims to provide support and resources for people with cancer.
“There are so many people with cancer who don’t have the resources to fight it,” Dog said. “Beth was always there to help people. Now, I’m just trying to carry on her work and make her proud.”
Dog’s update on his wife’s condition is a sobering reminder of the devastating effects of cancer. It also highlights the importance of providing support and resources for those struggling with the disease. While Beth may no longer be with us, her legacy lives on through her husband’s efforts to help others.
